Class Teacher

Job Description

Responsible to: Principal in the execution of professional duties and responsibilities.

  • Share in the management of pastoral care, health, welfare and behaviour of all pupils and in particular, those within your designated class group.
  • Undertake the teaching of a class in accordance with the school’s agreed policies and guidelines.
  • Use a variety of appropriate teaching and caring methods to ensure high quality learning takes place.
  • Provide planning documents identifying specific learning objectives, differentiated tasks, special needs, extension and assessment, to the Principal or other authorized officer.
  • Maintain professional dialogue with colleagues concerning the children, other colleagues and the school. Treat all information with confidentiality.
  • Ensure the provision of equal opportunities for all.
  • Encourage children to take pride in their own environment and show respect and concern for others, to the benefit of the school as a caring community.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of classroom management eg. Care of equipment with resources well-labelled and accessible. Maintain a tidy, well organised room.
  • Create an interesting and lively classroom which promotes independent learning.
  • Collaborate with Principal and staff in establishing and developing effective pupil assessment procedures and moderation portfolios. Keep appropriate records of achievement for each child in class and provide reports as necessary.
  • Build positive links between yourself and parents of children in your care.
  • Guide, motivate and monitor classroom helpers in carrying out their tasks.
  • Collaborate with staff in long-term planning.
  • Take corporate responsibility for displays throughout the school.
  • Share management and delivery of assemblies.
  • Offer and receive advice and guidance on issues that affect the whole school’s performance and thos.
  • Share your expertise.
  • Participate in appraisal procedures and in-service training that provide personal, professional, and career development.


  • At least 1-2 years of relevant professional teaching experience in early childhood;
  • The candidate should hold a minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood or Education or equivalent
  • Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of inquiry-based learning is required;
  • Applicants must provide original copies of their Certificates and academic transcripts for authentication;
  • L2 Certificate (English) 

Assistant Teacher

Job Description

The Assistant Teacher will assist the English/Mandarin Teacher and the Principal in the execution of professional duties and responsibilities.

  • Working alongside English/Mandarin Teacher, provide appropriate learning experiences for children within an inquiry, play-based context
  • Assist the English/Mandarin Teacher in documenting the children’s learning through contributions via newsletters, portfolios etc.
  • Create a warm and nurturing environment for children
  • Build and maintain close partnership with parent

Mandarin Teacher

Job Description

The Mandarin Language Teacher will be responsible for taking care of a class of young children and facilitating small group experiences within an inquiry, play-based context in the school.

  • Plan engaging circle time experiences and small group experiences within an inquiry, play-based context
  • Document children’s learning through contributions towards newsletters, class panels and children’s portfolios
  • Create meaningful language opportunities for children where love for Mandarin can be promoted;
  • Build and maintain a close partnership with parents

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education in Teaching (Chinese language) or its equivalent
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in a preschool or childcare setting is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well independently as well as within a team
  • Required to speak, read, and write in Mandarin as the candidates need to teach the students Mandarin Language.
  • ECDA L2 certification
  • 幼儿教育大专文凭,持有本科相关学历者优先;
